At the Historic Dockyard, Chatham, (worth a visit in its own right), there are some exhibits from the nearby Royal Engineers Museum housed in a large warehouse, (which also contains the RNLI Lifeboat museum). The RE exhibits are the larger equipment. There are a number of vehicles such as a Chieftain AVRE, D8 Caterpillar tractor, diggers, and other softskins, plus bridging equipment, pontoons and boats. Admission to one museum also allows reduced price admission to the other.
